ABSTRACT
The advancement of Internet is highly affected by the “website” or “world wide web” (www). Website is a service that provide text- and graphic-base information available on the internet.
The emergence of Internet has created new ideas for business. It eliminates time and space limitation that used to create problems toward conventional sales. Ecommerce is a breakthrough for business to optimize technology toward effective and efficient online-transaction using website as business channel. E-commerce is not only about selling goods and service, but also crafting a business transformation that change the way company run the activities.
E-commerce enables consumers to find out about price of goods and services. E-commerce operates also in continuous manner that assist transaction to occur at anytime, even at the slightest second. E-commerce is an effective promotion channel with affordable cost. It provides equal opportunities for either big or small company to expand their business.
This study was conducted to investigate the truth of the hypothesis says that the use of Web-Based Databases Online Sales has the largest number of users in the district of Merauke.

Chapter I
INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background
During the early development of computer networks, most large scale business enterprises around the world, especially in the United States, using a particular part of the electronic commerce (electronic commerce) to control the transactions between businesses. Currently, with the increasing use of internet, electronic commerce (eCommerce) performed by businesses in a variety of sizes .(Adi Nugroho, 2006: 1)
Essentially the e-commerce is doing business online. In its most obvious, e-commerce to sell products to consumers online, but in fact whatever type of business is conducted electronically is e-commerce. Simply put, e-commerce is to create, manage, and expand the commercial relations online. A successful ecommerce business may involve payments, product development and planning, managing the production or manufacture, and marketing representatives, sales, service, collaboration among fellow business or affilisai, product distribution, research, dissemination of information, preparation of the community of commercial, educational, entertainment, and perhaps all other businesses who have not thought about. (Brenda, 2001: 1)
The development of e-commerce mambawa many changes to the business activity sector during this run in the real world. These changes are marked by the existence of a number of efforts from business activity sector which was originally based in the real world (real), later developed into the virtual world (virtual).
With the development of technology that is increasingly fast, then the internet being one part of life that is urgently needed. One of them is as a means to facilitate the sale, the usual conventionally redirected into a more modern.

By not fixated on just one store is expected to further increase the variety of products to be sold, so kepuasankonsumen be uncreated. For that is required to continually update the data so that the product will be sold not lower prices than conventional stores.
Products to be sold in musamus.com receive care items to be sold from the shop owner or personal by applying the fee from every transaction that occurs. From the above problems then designed a web-based sales system using the Joomla CMS. (www.id-joomla.com).
1.2 Problem Formulation
From the background of the above issues on which the manufacture of this Final Project is "How to Design an online computer sales system in order to be better known by the public".
In Making Sales Online Application System Web Based Doing this in addition to the purchase transaction, and can handle the payment transactions made using credit cards. In pass up the purchase transaction, the user can make changes. So long as the buyer has not made payment transactions, the buyer can still make changes.
In the payment transaction is emphasized on the level of safety. Among them overcome tapping retrieval of information and also address the buyer's credit card number in order not to be used by others.

In making this application online sales will be built using Active Server Pages for the presentation code, Macromedia Dreamweaver MX as an HTML editor and storage of data into the database and the commands to manipulate data using MySql.
1.3 Purpose
That research in this thesis is more focused and facilitate the discussion, it is necessary to issue restrictions, namely:

3. Programs that are designed using Joomla CMS based on PHP and MySQL.

THEORETICALLY STUDY
Contains the basics of the theory that serves as a cornerstone in creating an interactive academic information system using MySQL database and PHP programming language and its CMS Joomla.

PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) is a language server-side web programming is open source which can be used to build dynamic web applications along with HTML. Php scripts are executed on the server, and then returned to the browser in HTML.
